About this flower
Blue-violet, hooded 'monk's-hood' flowers — from one of the Himalaya's most medicinal (and most poisonous) plant families. Over-harvesting for its root, 'atis', has made it scarce, so seeing it in flower is a good sign of a healthy slope.
